Adapter IE-UCON-485 IE-UCON-485 is a compact adapter with USB-RS-485 by Innovative Experiment. It is designed to be used as a digital interface between a PC with a USB port and a wide range of technical devices with RS-485 interface. RS-485 (another name - EIA/TIA-485) is one of the most popular standards for the physical communication level. The physical level is a communication channel and signal transmission means (the so-called first level of the interconnection model of OSI open systems). A network, built on RS-485 interface, consists of transceivers, connected via a twisted pair cable. The basis of RS-485 interface is the principle of a differential (balanced) data transmission. The idea is that a signal is transmitted via two wires. The original signal is transmitted via one wire (conventionally A), and its inverted cope is transmitted via the other (conventionally B). In other words, if there is "1" at one wire, then there is "0" at the other and vice versa. Thus, between the two wires of a twisted pair there is always a potential difference: when there is "1" it is positive, when there is "0" it is negative. The signal is transmitted by this very potential difference. This transfer method provides high immunity to common mode. RS-485 communication protocol is the most widely used standard in industrial and building automation, where they use a large number of remote sensors and other devices to transmit and receive information through a central module providing ...
